
Our Story
Merchandising is both a skill as well as an art. Getting the order is only a part of the retail process. Stock needs to be displayed to its fullest potential, putting it in the limelight against its competitors on shelf and in other relevant areas.

Prior to start up, a gap was seen in the market for an individual approach to merchandising. The existing merchandising companies had a large basket of suppliers to service, some being competitors within that basket. Products were not shown at their best and often lost space to who ever had the most stock on hand. The merchandising companies were mostly National. This led to areas being inconsistent depending on the regional management.

The idea of a merchandising company that is National but where the regions are serviced by self-owned companies was about to become real.

One central point for communications, sales and stock analysis, deals and billings. Five merchandising companies servicing their regions where they have operated for years .They are fully up to date regards the stores and head offices as well as the operations related to their territories.

In 2000, Syndicate Merchandising Solutions was born.

SMS consists of 5 agencies. The beauty of having 5 separate but symbiotic agencies means that one can be removed without disruption to the balance of the operations.
